Concerned about the ACEND master's degree requirement?

To apply to the New York Distance Dietetic Internship, applicants need to have completed one semester of a Master's degree, but to complete the DI, they need to complete a Master's degree in any field.
We may have the solution you are looking for.

We want to share with you a Master of Science in Nutrition program. This 30-hour graduate program has two concentration options: Applied Nutrition or Sports Nutrition and is available 100% online from Lamar University, member of the Texas State University System. If accepted to Lamar, you will be eligible for preselect status at NYDDI. You will still need to apply through DICAS.

The cost is $9,720 for a 30-credit master's degree. See their website at www.lamar.edu.
The direct email for the nutrition department is nhhs@lamar.edu. The student liaison phone number is 409-880-8663.

This may be the key that opens the door to entry into our internship and you becoming a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist.

Please call or email Leslie with your questions. Thank you.
